Why another blog you say?

Q: Why I've created another blog for music?
A: This is a blog dedicated to 320KBPS MP3 and lossless files (FLAC, WAV, APE etc.), files rips of Soul, R&B, Funk, Disco, Drum & Bass, Reggae and many more other genres.

Q: What is an .mp3 and/or .flac file?
A: This can be confusing for most users, but the following statement should help you to understand why I prefer music this way.  There are two types of audio files on the Internet. FLAC is a lossless format, which means a much bigger size and is an identical rip from an original CD. For more info go here to read more.

MP3 on the other hand is an audio file format, it actually is a compression format, that allows for audio files to be compressed into a smaller file size using a specific fractal-based algorithm, similar to those used to compress images into the JPG format. As with any type of compression is does generally degrade the files sound quality, but the quality is not easily discernible, especially with an untrained ear.

Because of its compression abilities and the quality, MP3 files are widely supported, and one of the top choices for Internet audio content. Additional information on the MP3 file format.

Q: How do I convert FLAC to MP3 and back?
A: I suggest using a program like WinAmp or any other. These programs are fairly easy to use.  If you experience problems using WinAmp email me and I will send you screen dumps to get you started.  You can download Winamp for free here.

Q: How do I download or upload files of any albums or singles?

A: Look below any embedded Artist Picture and you will see a link similar to this --> Download - 320KBPS or FLAC on any blog page

Q: I've downloaded a .rar file, using Download - 320KBPS link what do I do?
A: You will need to unpack the files using a program like WinRar to unpack the archive file that you've downloaded. You can get WinRar here.

Following installation or download process right click on the archive file and choose 'extract here' from the tiny pop-up menu.  The tiny pop-up menu will state a few basic functions.  One of them giving you the opportunity to extract the file here.  It simply means that I will save the file --- HERE!

If you need to save it in a more appropriate area on your computer you should see other functions to let you do this.  Its similar to using a word processor program or any other saving mechanism that you have used before.

Q: I downloaded an album but it is corrupt, damaged, or missing files, what do I do?
A: The first thing you should do is try to re-download the file. All too often people do not complete their downloads and then experience this problem. Remember shutting down your browser in the middle of downloading a file can cancel the download.

Try not to shut down your browser unless you have too until all downloads have finished. If you try downloading the file again and again and have the same problem then by all means inform me.  Make a comment to that effect in the chat box and then submit a full email.

Please do not make long comments about files being corrupted, damaged, or missing.  However try to do the above first as most this will solve your problem.

Q: A link is dead what do I do?
A: Please send me an email - not comment and I'll do my best to re-upload.

Q: I have a request and no one is responding in the chat box, why?
A: I'll do my best to respond.  If you consider how many people might unite comments on a regular basis it can get a little too much for my weary eyes.  Normally an email request is better.  Use chat box for 'shout out's', acknowledging the site and general comments about the blog.

Q: I found a transcode/upconvert posted. What do I do?
A: Leave a comment after the post I will respond shortly.

Q: Why don't you add any commentary to your posts any more? I want to know what is worth downloading.
A: Due to the vast number of posts I'm unable to devote time to adding personal evaluation of the albums by artist posted. You will find a great deal of artist commentary on all of the other blog's prior to this one.

Q: I have a few rips I want you to post here. What do I do?
A: Please register on the site and then send me an email when you have finished.  Send an email to me at Email SupportPlease be sure to include the [Artist Name] - [Album] [Title] and [Year of Release] in [Format 320kbps MP3 or FLAC] and a cover image preferably [400x400 pixel or bigger is ideal], and full track listing using a text file to include a link to the file.
Please use your own links its not nice to steal links from other websites.

Q: What do you get out of this? I mean no one shares stuff for free, right?
A: Nothing! I do this because I want to share good music in good quality format.

Q: I support what you do and want to donate. How can I do this?
A: You cannot. Due to the nature of the site I don't want people to support me financially. If you want to show your support you can contribute with rips of albums, singles, vinyls etc...;-).

Q: What is the contact mail for? Can I request stuff by mail?
A: The contact Email was made for site administration purposes only and not for chatty chat and ESPECIALLY not for abuse. Do not request anything by comment chat box - you WILL be ignored.

Q: I keep getting abuse in chat?
A: If you or I find abusive comments in the chat box this needs to be reported and the person(s) will be removed with immediate effect.  A BAN can last firever.  Think about the real world and why we are here.  Let's try and keep it this way.  O by the way, your IP address will be recorded and used to ban you! for life if need be.

Q: Do I have to register to download music?
A: Yes you do.  It's only fair that genuine music lovers use the site for its intended purpose.  It's a simple and easy to do process.

I wish you luck with your music venture...

  1. Maybe I'm missing something here (I'm the only registered member here it seems), but do I have to exchange an album with you in order to get a password for anything I download here?

You do not address how to register or request passwords properly here in the Help tab, and I think its throwing a lot of people for a loop.

Also, why is the Cbox disabled for me even though I registered? It's very strange. :(

2. The term has subsequently had a number of shifts in meaning. In the early 1950's and beyond, the term rhythm and blues [R&B] was frequently applied to blues records.
3. Starting in the 1950's, after this style of music contributed to the development of rock and roll, the term "R&B" became used to refer to music styles that developed from and incorporated electric blues, as well as gospel and soul music.
